About Me

I am Dana Journey, a traditional animator and illustrator located in San Francisco California. My main interests are in adult and children's animation for television and film and Stop Motion Fabrication. I believe in the power of animation to transcend the limits of reality and create universes that defy the constraints of live action. Currently, I am pursuing a role in 2D television or film animation as a concept artist or junior animator. I am also pursuing roles in Stop Motion as a Fabricator, concept artist, or sculptor.

This year, I had the opportunity to work on the feature film Gonzo Girl, helping to create an animated sequence in the live-action film. This past year, I have also been doing set Fabrication for an upcoming Stop Motion short film. Right now, I am working on concept art for a stop motion feature film with one of my peers, developing my animated series about fairies that live in Golden Gate Park, and illustrating a children's book. On top of these projects, I am building a Stop Motion set for a personal short film about two young women on a road trip that takes a turn for the worse.
